Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery. Alexander Gabrysh Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m. and parish vigil at 7:15 p.m. Alexander "Alex" was born Dec.

8, 1990, to Ralph M. and Mary Gabrysh in Omaha, Neb. Alex was an extremely charismatic soul who enjoyed life to the fullest. His outlook on life was extremely positive, thoughtful and always considerate of others. His humorous personality was infectious to all those around him.

His gentle and generous outlook extended to his two cats, Paco and Lotus, whom he loved. Alex was a car enthusiast. He also loved music and enjoyed sharing his culinary skills with family and friends. He also really enjoyed his contracting supervisor position, serving food samples at the Grand Forks Sam's Club. Alex had begun classes at the University of North Dakota with intentions of a psychology degree.

Alex will be deeply missed by his parents, Ralph and Mary, Mandan; his grandparents, Richard and Denese Stobbe, Florida; his sister, Liz (Jason) Pitzer, Mandan; his brother, Timothy, Mandan; his nieces, Trinity and Rhilynn Pitzer; his nephew, Isaac Pitzer; the Slabinski and Gabrysh families; as well as numerous friends and co-workers. Alex was preceded in death by his sisters, Terese Marie and Bridget Louise; his brothers, Luke Michael and Joshua Joseph, due to spinal muscular atrophy; and his family, Barbara and Aloysius Gabrysh, Johanna Rudnick, Tim Rudnick, Robert Augenstein and Brian Stobbe. Marnie Soggie Marnie Renell Soggie, 38, Bismarck, passed away June 6, 2013, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, after a long battle with breast cancer and polymyositis. A memorial be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Marnie Soggie There will be no visita- tion.

Cremation has taken place. She was born on July 30, 1974, in Devils Lake and was raised in Dickinson. She graduated from Dickinson High School in 1992. Marnie attended the University of North Dakota and received a bachelor of arts degree in political science in 1996. While she was an undergraduate, Marnie worked for the North Dakota Legislature and the United States Senate and was a candidate for the North Dakota House of Representatives.

Marnie attended the University of North Dakota School of Law and the University of Norway Law Faculty and received her juris doctor in 2000. She moved to Bismarck after graduation. Marnie was appointed as a special assistant attorney general and worked as an attorney for the North Dakota Department of Human Services' Child Support Enforcement Division for 14 years. Marnie loved adventurous travel. She climbed a Mayan pyramid, rapelled off a cliff over Norwegian white rapids, drank Champagne in Paris, and splashed in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

But, her greatest adventure and joy in life was being auntie to her three nieces, Mina, Jena and Hana, who were the loves of her life. She cherished their happy and lively spirits, plus the hugs and kisses that they shared with their auntie. Marnie is survived by her mother, Gail Ellingson, Dickinson; her brother, Patrick (Sung Hee) Soggie, Dickinson; her nieces, Mina, Jena and Hana Soggie, Dickinson; her maternal grandmother, Dallas Ellingson, Bismarck; plus aunts, uncles and cousins. Olga Helstad WILLISTON Olga Helstad, 97, Williston, died June 5, 2013, at Bethel Lutheran Home, Williston. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, at the Chapel at First Lutheran Church, Williston. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Nelson, Minneapolis; one grandchild; and two greatgrandchildren.

Bernard Braun Bernard L. Braun, 89, Bismarck, died June 6, 2013, at his residence. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with Monsignor Gene Lindemann as celebrant.

Burial will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Bismarck VFW Post No. 1326. Bernard Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m.

and parish vigil: at 7:15 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Bernard was born to Zacheus and Katherine (Mossett) Braun on March 4, 1924, in Linton. He married Anna Leingang on June 1, 1949, in St. Anthony, eventually settling in Selfridge, where they farmed and ranched.

Dedicated to his work, was a way of life for Bernard. Early on they raised horses, but Charlois were his pride and joy. Serving on the Selfridge School Board for 20 years and the Farmers Union Board for 15 years were great accomplishments for Bernard. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included gardening and dancing, especially the polka.

Traveling throughout the U.S. gave Bernard much enjoyment. After retiring in 2001, Bernard moved to Bismarck. Bernard will be deeply missed by his daughters, Maryann (Jim) Gross, Mandan, and Bernie (Troy) Kraft, Bismarck; his sons, Marvin, Bismarck, and Charles (LuAnn), Mohall; seven grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; his sisters, Ann (Pete) Berger and Barbara (Max) Feist, both of Mandan, Elizabeth Flemmer and Theresa Jefferson, both of Phoenix, and Katie Bauer, Billings, his sister-inlaw, Esther Braun, South Dakota; and his brother-inlaw, Orville Klein. Bernard was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; his daughter, Wanda Jean; his sisters, Regina Klein and Tillie Landeis; his infant sisters, Regina and Elizabeth; and his brothers, Lawrence and John.

Her final days were spent surrounded by her children. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.

During the 1980s, Kris worked at Burleigh County Social Services working as a homemaker health aide. She so enjoyed serving the elderly in their homes. Kris loved spending time providing child care for her grandsons when they were little. She loved the outdoors, Chinese food and shrimp of any kind. She was a very caring person and had a spot in her heart for anyone she met.

She had an enormous impact on many people and will be missed by many. Her infectious laugh and happy attitude will be remembered by her friends for years to come. Kris had a special love for cats and liked to listen to '50s music. Before her health prohibited it, she enjoyed helping staff and the other residents at St. Vincent's.

Kris was the official greeter for new residents when arriving at the facility. She also delivered the morning newspapers to the residents, as well as helped with advising the board on dietary decisions for all the residents. She had many friends at St. Vincent's and was loved by the caring staff. Kris is survived by her sons, Don Braunagel Jr.

(Becci), Bismarck, and Dennis Braunagel (Amy), Fargo; her daughter, Cheryl Schatz (Her Kerry), Omaha, her grandsons, Justin and Jared Schatz, Omaha; and her granddaughter, Jaden Braunagel, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie; her mother, Alice; her father, Donald; and her grandparents, Mary and Mannie Clute. Patricia Stuhr Patricia Stuhr Patricia E. Bailey Stuhr, 66, Barnesville, passed away June 5, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. There will be a celebration of Patti's life at 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, at Salem Evangelical Free Church, 1002 10th St. Fargo, with visitation start- p.m.

Patricia Stuhr Patti was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Bismarck, to Clifford and Katherine (Wohkittel) Bailey. She graduated from Bismarck High School before attending and graduating from electrolysis school in Phoenix. She worked for Moorhead High School with students who had disabilities before starting her own business, Electrolysis by Patti. Work was one of Patti's passions.

It allowed her to connect with people. Her clients became part of her family. She was a beautiful person with a great heart that had a special place in it for everyone in her life. Patti married Gerald Stuhr in April 2000. Jerry was Patti's best friend and became her loving caregiver.

Jerry made Patti's dream come true when he bought a motor home and the two of them traveled together last winter. They traveled many states together, visiting many family and friends across the miles. Patti was a Christian woman, a believer, caring, non-judgmental, loving, comforting and supportive to all. Patti took pride in caring for her parents. Patti's family, especially her grandchildren, were her "life." The joy they brought to her kept her spirits high.

Patti will live on in every person she has touched throughout her life and will be forever missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Beatrice was born on April 19, 1926, to George and Theresa (Brigl) Smith in Huff, the youngest of 12 children. She married Frank Berger on Nov. 13, 1945, at St. Martin's Church in Huff. After their marriage, they moved to the Berger family farm at St.

Anthony. Upon retirement in 1967, they moved to Mandan where she worked many years as an aide at the Mandan Hospital and also did adult foster care for several years. In her later years, she spent many hours volunteering at Aid, Inc. in Mandan. She was very social and loved being around people.

Before illness overtook her, her greatest joy was spending time every day reading God's holy word, the Bible, and praying for her loved ones. Her family will remember her for her excellent German and Hungarian dishes that she cooked for her family and extended family. Her grandchildren will always remember her for the many times she challenged them to a game of 500 rummy. Beatrice will be deeply missed by her daughters, Phyllis (Jerry) Hager, Bismarck, Janice (Loren) Wetch, Mandan, and Wanda (Darold) Berger, Burlington; 10 grandchildren, Jeff Graner, Bonnie Eckroth and Ray Eckroth, Rhonda (Steve) Bondeson, Kim Graner, Kerry (Aaron) Baumgarner, Shelly (Jason) Blotsky, Travis (Bridget) Wetch, Lisa (Dana) Hartlieb, Nicole (Josh) Brown, Stacy Berger and -grandson, Blake Hager; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Leone Devine and Lillian Bethke, both of Bismarck, and Luella Kary, Minot.
